Using this site

Type Matchups provides free Pokémon type calculators -- a type matchup calculator, the full 18x18 type chart, a weakness calculator, a dual-type calculator covering all 171 typings, a move coverage calculator, and a type matchup quiz -- for reference and entertainment use. No account or sign-up is required, and there is no charge to use any page on this site.

Not official game data

The calculations on this site are pure arithmetic over a hand-entered copy of the type-effectiveness rules used in the core Pokémon video games since Generation 6, not licensed data, an in-game tool, or a substitute for the games themselves. These tools cover type math only -- there is no species database, no stats, no move data, and no other in-game information. Effectiveness rules can differ in spin-off games, older generations, or house rules some players use; always verify against the specific game you're playing before relying on a number here.

No affiliation

Type Matchups is an independent, fan-made reference site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated on behalf of Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., The Pokémon Company, or any of their affiliates. Pokémon and the names of individual types are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe and refer to the games' own public mechanics.
